Mica Gallery Ltd, formerly www.IslamicArtandDesign.com, was founded by Reedah N. El-Saie in 2007 as a follow on of her acquisition, in 2002, of the Egee Art Consultancy based in Chelsea for 25 years. The company specialises in Modern Islamic & Contemporary Art.
Reedah has completed a Foundation in Art at
Reedah graduated in Law (LLB) from The London School of Economics and University College London (LLM) before qualifying as a barrister. She spent several years as a management consultant with Roland Berger & Partner before starting ‘ArRum’ in 2001. ArRum was the UK’s first private members club promoting Islamic art & culture, offering an art gallery, restaurant, business club, career mentorship and varied events diary. ArRum received extensive media coverage from the BBC, CNN, Channel 4 News, Daily Telegraph, Evening Standard, The Guardian, The Independent, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek and Vogue.
Reedah, married with three children, continues to work on a voluntary basis with the public and third sector and has advised various charities and government on a wide variety of community/inter-faith issues, business strategy, fundraising and mentoring. She is a Trustee of LEAP Confronting Conflict, a member of the National Muslim Women's Advisory Group and MOSAIC's regional committee amongst many other organisations.
